Hometown: Boston, MA

Nathan Klein fell into political polling entirely by accident in 2007 and has been doing it ever since. In the intervening years he has polled at every level of the American political system and has conducted qualitative and quantitative research on five continents. In the January 2015 issue of Fortune Magazine, Nathan Klein was named as the Pollster on the “Campaign Dream Team” of “up-and-coming talents you want to know.”

Before joining OnMessage, Klein most recently served as the Director of Independent Expenditures for America First, the largest outside group supporting President Trump’s 2020 re-election effort.

Klein also recently worked as the Political Director for Team McCarthy, the campaign & finance arm of Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy. Klein joined Team McCarthy in January of 2019 after coming off a successful 2018 election as the IE Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC). In an otherwise tough electoral cycle for Republicans, the 2018 NRSC was able to defeat four Democratic incumbents and net two Senate seats to strengthen the Republican majority.

Previously, Klein served as the Polling and Analytics Director for the NRSC during the 2014 midterm election, which saw Republicans recapture the Senate majority in historic fashion. In 2012, he acted as Deputy Pollster to the Romney Presidential Campaign.

Prior to his political career Klein lived in Jerusalem for four years as a dual-US-Israeli citizen, serving in the IDF from 2003-2006 with the Golani Infantry Brigade. He now lives in Washington, DC with his wife and two young children.
