Curt Anderson is one of the most accomplished strategists at work today in Republican politics. Curt has worked directly with the campaigns of 16 current GOP senators, 9 of the current GOP governors, and over 70 current GOP members of the House of Representatives.
In the 2006 cycle Curt managed the Independent Expenditure campaign for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, producing and placing advertising in 7 key states. Curt also served as the strategist for the Steele for Senate campaign in Maryland, Carcieri for Governor campaign in Rhode Island, and the Jindal for Congress campaign in Louisiana.
In 2004 Curt was chosen to plan and execute the Republican National Committee’s $20 million independent expenditure campaign in the top target states for President Bush and Vice President Cheney.
Prior to 2004, Curt served as a senior strategist for the Bush campaign, the RNC, the NRSC, and many Republican Parties and campaigns throughout the country. Curt is recognized as a driving force behind the GOP’s new focus on high-tech grass-roots campaigning and voter mobilization, having been the lead consultant for the Republican Party’s 72 Hour Task Force and the primary curriculum designer for the Republican Party’s campaign management colleges.
Prior to launching his own consulting firm, The Anderson Group, Curt served as Political Director for Chairman Haley Barbour. As the top political operative for the Republican Party he was responsible for a $92 million nationwide effort to elect candidates at every level in the 1996 elections and save the GOP Congress.
In the 1994 election cycle Curt was the Republican Party’s Midwest director, helping win five Governor’s races, a pick-up of 12 House seats, and six state legislative chamber takeovers in the Midwest.
During his tenure at the RNC the GOP enjoyed unprecedented gains across the board increasing from 17 to 32 Governors, 42 to 55 Senators, and 176 to 227 Congressmen. They also added over 500 state legislative seats to the Republican column.
During the 1990 and 1992 election cycles he served as the National Coalitions Director and the Southern Regional Director for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, where he worked on 20 different successful U.S. Senate campaigns.
Prior to joining the NRSC Curt served at the White House under President Reagan as the Associate Director of the Office of Public Liaison.
Curt and his wife Anita live with their children Mollie, Maddie, and Cal in Annapolis, Maryland.
